The Associate Consultant role offers a meaningful opportunity to build a strong consulting foundation within an emerging firm, deepen your craft in experience design and delivery, and contribute to thoughtful, progressive client work. This role is designed to accelerate learning through hands-on project experience, exposure to diverse clients and industries, and active participation in how Thoughtium continues to evolve its approach.
The Associate Consultant supports the design and delivery of consulting services across Thoughtium’s core product offerings and client engagements. Working closely with project teams, the Associate Consultant contributes to project planning, workshop design, meeting synthesis, and the development of tools and assets that enhance client impact.
The Role
CLIENT EXCELLENCE
- Participate in internal and client meetings, contributing insights and recommendations
- Support design and execution of client engagements
- Contribute to the development of client facing assets, including decks and participant materials
- Support the facilitation of client programs by leading smaller sections and activities
- Support client communication and relationship building
- Lead internal program management, owning logistical and operational tasks to help projects run smoothly
CONSULTING FUNDAMENTALS
- Build foundational consulting skills (design and development of client engagements, project planning, meeting synthesis, success measurement, etc)
- Develop understanding of client business context
- Conduct research and analysis that enhance value of client projects
THOUGHTIUM LEADERSHIP
- Exhibit enthusiasm for learning, particularly diving into new subject areas
- Consistent demonstration of proficiency of operating norms and values
You Have:
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills

As a Senior Consultant at Thoughtium, you will lead multiple client workstreams, manage complex projects, and serve as a primary contact for senior stakeholders. You will take ownership of project success, from design through delivery, ensuring clarity, timeliness, and measurable results. Beyond project leadership, you help shape account strategies and identify new opportunities. Senior Consultants deepen client partnerships and meaningfully contribute to Thoughtium’s growth through their expertise and influence.
The Role
CLIENT EXCELLENCE
Project Success:
- Demonstrate project leadership (PL and/or DL) on multiple work streams concurrently (note: larger work streams may split out design or PM)
- Lead facilitate within Thoughtium's core solutions
- Demonstrate early readiness to co-facilitate for most senior audiences across all TH solution areas (e.g. VP and above)
Measurement & Impact:
- Define success metrics for each workstream and align on desired outcomes upfront
- Synthesize success measurement and translate into insights and impact for clients and internal teams
- Produce clear client outputs, including digitized workshop assets, synthesized insights and summary decks
- Provide clear, timely feedback across project teams to strengthen delivery
ACCOUNT GROWTH
Account Strategy:
- Actively contribute to framing and execution of client account strategy through an understanding of the client's business and their priorities
- Support the development and execution of account plans in partnership with Account Owner(s)
Relationship Building:
- Demonstrate consistency and reliability in client interactions that strengthens TH's presence on the account
- Actively invest in understanding the client's broader business context to deepen the relationship
Business Development:
- Help identify and bring new opportunities within current client relationships
- Actively contribute to the scoping and development of proposals
You Have:
- 3+ years of consulting or industry-related experience with demonstrated expertise in management consulting, strategy development, sales enablement, change management, leadership development, learning and development or related field
- Self-starter attitude when it comes to solving new, ambiguous and complex problems
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize around what is essential
- Ability to design comprehensive engagement strategies using key trends, technology platforms, tools and processes
- Ability to quickly understand and synthesize complex issues to facilitate broader organizational understanding, decision-making and execution
- Ability to work in a high-demand, fast paced startup environment
- Ability to interact at all levels within and outside the organization, including executives
- Demonstrated consistent curiosity and passion for continuous development
- Willingness to travel to deliver on client engagements when necessary
- (Preferred) Experience using or delivering design thinking
- (Preferred) A background in adult learning or industrial organizational psychology
